ABOUT

Riddhi Deorah

Hi, I’m Riddhi Deorah. I tried many thing before Karma played her role and helped me find a clear mission.

I want to thank my teachers, mentors, parents and  family for constantly standing by my side and helping me work and move closer to my mission each day.

I am on a mission to help 100,000 parents live a happy, holistic and spiritual life.

If you are authentic, honest and have a helpful attitude, people will get attracted to your energy.

You will see your group growing beautifully right before you. That’s what I believe happened to me. It was just the start of my journey and from just sharing parenting experiences not too long ago, I now build parenting courses on mindful parenting, active parenting, hero method of communicating with your child, easy stress management, phonics and so many other topics.

I am grateful for each one of you who is reading this.

I would now like to share a little about my journey so far.

My Story

I was born and raised in Kolkata.

I lived in a joint family with  my grand-parents, parents and uncle’s family.

My father was a simple business man back then and my mother was a home maker.

I have four siblings, two elder sisters, one twin sister and a younger brother. Life was simple and carefree.

As a kid I was very inclined towards spirituality and mythology. I spent a lot of time listening to saints in a ashram that was right opposite our house.

I am still very strongly grounded in spirituality.

I attended a convent school called La- Martiniere For Girls . I miss the assemblies and hymns that we sang every morning.

My tryst with economics began when I, as a child, started accompanying my father to his work-place.

I followed up on my interest by taking it up at the school level and subsequently majoring in it at college.

Leaving Home For The First Time

Having finished my bachelor’s in economics from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata, I decided to step out for my masters.

I had already spent 21 years living a protected life with my parents.

I really wished to step out of my comfort zone and explore the world outside.

I applied to London School of Economics, UK and University of Cambridge, UK and was fortunate enough to be selected by both.

This was definitely one of my happiest days, not because the best universities had accepted me, but because I was finally going to step out of Kolkata.

My Time Abroad

My time abroad wasn’t as easy as I had anticipated.

University of Cambridge is no cake walk.

We were given assignments on the very first day.

Everybody in my class was so smart.

I felt like a fish out of water.

I was never a topper, but I was always a good student back in India.

However, in Cambridge, I was completely lost.

It took me 3 months of hard work and many sleepless nights before I started to feel a little comfortable.

There were times when I just wanted to take the first flight back to Kolkata.

I am glad I didn’t.

I made such amazing friends, definitely discovered a lot about myself and also graduated with a master’s degree in economics.

Coming Back Home

My parents had sent me to UK with the condition that I would return to India once I got my degree.

It was time for me to return to my house in Kolkata after 2.5 years in the UK.

I was both excited and unsure.

Excited to finally live with my family and eat home cooked food, and unsure about what would I do next.

I had spent so much money on my education, and it was time for me to recover all that I had spent.

Immediately after returning to India I started looking for opportunities in the job sector.

However, one fine day I decided I will not apply for a job.

When I had returned to India in 2013, the ecommerce sector in India was growing at an exponential rate.

I decided to take advantage of this opportunity and started selling casual knitwear products for men, women and children through marketplace platforms like Flipkart, Amazon, Jabong, Myntra, etc.

The business picked up really well and I had great work life balance.

Getting Married

June 2014, I found Rahul, my husband.

We got married after six months and I relocated to Gurgaon.

The relocation made things at work a little difficult. I tried to manage the business from Gurgaon.

However, the distance from the production set up and the communication gap made execution very slow.

Hence, I had to take the hard step of resigning from the company and allowed the company to be managed by my brother.

Co- founded a Fashion Label Called Riddhi & Revika

Once again karma was kind to me.

I started a label called Riddhi & Revika that makes designer apparels for women.

Riddhi & Revika started off in 2015 as an exclusively online brand retailing through social media and online multi-designer websites.

With the overwhelming love and support that our clients showed us the brand started to retail in more than ten multi-designer stores across India and abroad with its own flagship store in New Delhi.

Becoming a Mother

March 2017 was another turning point in my life when I delivered my beautiful son, Veer.

I started working from home.

I love writing and used this time to document my journey as a mother and wrote small stories about my experiences with little Veer.

The Message

One message, yes! one message is all you need to change your life.

I am so grateful that I received this message.

June 2018, I was in a meeting on Buddhism and the topic for the meeting was “ The importance of sharing our experience with others.’

Throughout the meeting I kept thinking about sharing my experience as a mother with all other mothers going through a similar journey as me.

I had no idea where to start and how to start.

But it’s truly said that when you really want something the universe conspires to help you.

That’s what happened with me.

I told my husband how much I wished to share my experience with other mothers.

He instantly encouraged me to do it through Instagram.

I was very hesitant at first because I didn’t want to make my profile public.

I am a very shy person which is why I just didn’t feel that being an Instagram blogger was something I’d be able to do.

We turned this into a bet and this bet has today put my life on an entirely different path.

According to the bet I had to make my profile public for a night and If I got more than 500 new people to follow me, then I would have to keep it public.

I was quite sure that I would lose this bet so I went ahead with it.

Next day when I woke up, I was shocked. I had almost 800 more followers now. I still haven’t seen such a jump in a day. I believe that I attracted this into my life by constantly thinking of a way to share my experience with others.

I lost the bet and now here I was sharing my experiences as a mother. I was so happy to see mothers reach out to me saying how they resonated with what I was sharing.

Founded Easy Parenting Hub

March 2020, my life just like many other lives changed overnight when the India went under complete lockdown due to Corona Virus.

Even though things at work weren’t great, I got a lot of time to learn new things.

I took up many digital marketing courses and created digital and physical products to teach my 3 year old son who couldn’t go to school now.

I was amazed by how quickly he learnt using the products that I had created for him.

I then decided to launch these as products so that other parents and children could also benefit from the same.

May 2020 I founded my company Easy Parenting Hub and launched my own digital school with many digital products for both parents and children.

Some of the topics for parents include – Easy Parenting Formula, Easy Stress Management, 101 Best Recipes for Kids and Pregnancy Weight Management.

Digital topics for children include, Audio Video Flash Cards, Phonics, Rhyming Words, Animals & Their Littles Ones and more.

I also created many physical products such as Know Your Letters, Know Your Numbers, Flash Card Boxes for 0-4.5 years (Put the link for greatflashcards.com), etc.

Parent & Life Coach

I have done over 100+ one on one calls with mothers and have helped them in every capacity that I could.

I feel extremely happy every time I am able to help a mother find solution to any parenting issue that she is facing.

It also helps me understand how the choices that we make as parents are majorly influenced by the environment in which we are raising our children.

My Vision

I believe that only happy and confident parents can raise happy and independent kids. Parenting is not a set of strategies that you can follow. Parenting is a beautiful relationship between the parent and the child. Parenting is a lifelong relationship that requires patience, dedication, love and most importantly honesty.

I am here to serve you and to help you make this journey as a parent easy, happy and enriching.

I cannot do this alone. I need you to support me and put your trust in me.

I want to build a beautiful tribe of parents that love and support each other.

Let’s be in touch. You can connect with me on Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter.

I am grateful for having found my true mission in life –

I am on a mission to help 100,000 parents live a happy, holistic and spiritual life.

However, the journey has just begun and I need you to stay with me till the end.

Message For The Parents

Parents there is no such thing as being a perfect parent.

Parenting is not about being perfect.

Parenting is about being real, honest and vulnerable.

Embrace your imperfections and accept  yourself and your child just as you are.

Remember that you are the perfect parent for your child and your child needs you more than he/she needs anything else.

Thank You Note

I want to thank my mentors,  gurus, teachers, parents, friends & family and each one of you who have made the journey so far a beautiful learning curve.

I am learning and growing each day with you.

I am sure that with your support we can jointly achieve the mission of making parenting a happy, holistic and spiritual journey.
